STATEMENT

Pursuant to the decision of the President of the Republic, Mr. Abdelmadjid Tebboune, concerning the regularization of the situation of Algerian citizens residing abroad who are in vulnerable and irregular situations, who are subject to judicial or administrative proceedings, the Embassy of the People’s Democratic Republic of Algeria in Washington, D.C. hereby informs members of the national community residing within its consular jurisdiction covering North Carolina, South Carolina, Delaware, Maryland, Virginia, West Virginia, and Washington, D.C., of the following:

These exceptional measures have been adopted for the benefit of the affected citizens, particularly young people, who are subject to judicial or administrative proceedings related to misdemeanors affecting public order, to enable them to regularize their legal status.

Accordingly, the Embassy invites interested nationals to contact the consular service to submit their applications using the approved form available at the following link: https://bit.ly/49VPJhd and to provide the required supporting documents to benefit from these exceptional measures.

The Embassy of Algeria in Washington, D.C. reaffirms its full commitment to accompanying the concerned citizens and following up on their requests until a final decision is rendered, in compliance with the applicable laws and regulations.
