October 17, 1961-2026 /National Emigration Day
On the occasion of the 65th anniversary of the October 17, 1961-2026 massacres, Ambassador Sabri Boukadou led a solemn tribute to the Algerian martyrs, honoring the thousands who peacefully demonstrated for freedom and independence and whose courage and sacrifice remain an enduring part of Algeria’s national memory and struggle for dignity. The ceremony, attended by Embassy Staff, included the raising of the national flag, the recitation of Al-Fatiha and a minute of silence in honor of the sacrifices made by the Algerian people in their struggle for freedom and independence.
