Atlantic Council High-Level Roundtable — "Algeria: What Role for a Geopolitical Giant?"
His Excellency Sabri Boukadoum participated in a high-level roundtable organized by the Atlantic Council under the theme "Algeria: What Role for a Geopolitical Giant?"
The discussion brought together senior officials, academics, and historians from the United States and Italy, with the participation of His Excellency Mohamed Khelifi, Ambassador of Algeria to Rome.
The exchange provided a timely and in-depth reflection on Algeria's position within an evolving global landscape. Participants underscored Algeria's central role in its region and its growing influence on both regional and international stages, particularly in light of today's complex geopolitical dynamics.
Special emphasis was placed on Algeria's strategic and pragmatic approach to promoting regional stability, supporting conflict resolution, and contributing to global energy security. The roundtable reaffirmed Algeria's importance as a reliable and pragmatic partner, as well as a pivotal actor in addressing emerging geopolitical and energy challenges.
Co-organized by the Atlantic Council, the Stimson Center, and the Geopolitical Risk Observatory, the event also provided an opportunity for the Algerian Ambassadors in Washington, D.C., and Rome to highlight the strength of Algeria–United States relations and Algeria–Italy relations, as well as their promising prospects for further cooperation.
