ANNOUNCEMENT Travel of Algerian citizens to and from the homeland

The Embassy of Algeria in Washington, D.C., wishes to inform members of the Algerian community living abroad that on an exceptional and derogatory basis, until December 31st , 2025, nationals, holders of a valid foreign passport are allowed to enter and leave the national territory, without the obligation to obtain a visa, under these two conditions:

- A valid foreign passport, and an electronic Algerian national identity card, even expired.

- For those not in possession of a biometric national identity card, a valid foreign passport, and an Algerian biometric passport, even expired.
