The Ambassador of Algeria to the United States, Mohammed Haneche, visited the American city Elkader

The Ambassador of Algeria to the United States, Mohamed Haneche, visited the
American city of ElKader (Iowa), which was founded in 1846 and named after Emir
Abdelkader, a symbol of Algerian resistance and an emblem of the values of tolerance
and coexistence between religions.


The visit was an occasion for the Ambassador to inaugurated a statue of Emir
Abdelkader, meet with the Mayor of ElKader and other prominent figures of the city and
be more acquainted with the activities of the Abdelkader Foundation, which works on
promoting the heritage of this Algerian hero and his values of tolerance.
